Here we were at Corsham Town Hall. Returning to the site of where many rallying cries were heard back in 2013, and 1913, in relationship to the women’s great suffrage pilgrimage of 1913.
Working in Traverse once again another new draft was presented to Michelle and Ruth, and then to an audience. The actors were really having to work on their feet throughout this process and accept new direction from Josie, and new text from Natalie swiftly. Josie was having to also take on board new text each time we moved to a new location!
We met some old acquaintances whilst in Corsham, who again supported us brilliantly during the Oxygen tour, Anne and Andrea, and we met some new faces too. Including Rosie McGregor who had on the very day we were in Corsham, published her book on Angela Gladwell, entitled; Angela Remembered. Gladwell was the first woman to become a practicing solicitor in Bristol.
We were looked after by Pip in her wonderful house that was once a mill in the Wiltshire Countryside. Many thanks to her. It was wonderful sitting around the fire and sharing stories.
