During two Rebellious Threads workshops, women created patches using a honeycomb hexagon design and drawing on the beehive as a metaphor for women’s strength and creativity. The workshops brought together stories and experiences of 2020 and the messages the participants wish to send to future generations of women and girls.
The hexagonal works will form part of a digital and physical exhibition in the future. In the meantime, here are some of the hexagons that have been made.

Occupy the Airwaves radio broadcasts have always been supported and enhanced by craft workshops running in parallel to the programmes. Sadly, this year we have been unable to meet together face to face, so through our online workshops, we wanted to preserve and develop the vitality and richness of the conversations and connections which have always been an integral experience of the workshops in previous years.
