Organised by Fawcett Devon and Fawcett Plymouth, on the 21st March 2015, to address, promote and debate women’s equality. With key speakers like Arctic and Antarctic explorer Ann Daniels; Francis Scott founder of the 50:50 Campaign for equal representation in parliament, and Belinda Phipps, Chair of the Fawcett Society. It was a day to bring together many organisations and individuals who are out there in Devon dedicated to working towards gender equality. There was also a parliamentary candidate local hustings that took place.
It was great to spend time with Francis Scott who is a tireless campaigner for 50:50 parliament, where fewer than 3 in 10 MPs are women.
